The U16 Women’s National Team that will compete in the 2023 FIBA U16 Women’s Asian Championship gathered at Bangdong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, Korea, on August 8 to prepare for the tournament.
The team then held a combine on the 3×3 court at the Olympic Park, taking their first steps towards Jordan.
“When the roster was announced, I was happy at first, but then I felt nervous and shaky as I worked out and listened to the advice of my sisters and teachers,” said Lee Ga-hyun, a freshman at Supia Girls’ High School.
“It was like a dream,” said Chae-ah Jung,토토사이트 a freshman at Bundang Business School, when she saw her name on the roster. “I was completely nervous and felt like I had to do well, and my sister (Heo) Yoo-jung (Bundang Business School 3) gave me tips to pack a neck pillow and snacks,” she laughed.
Lim Yeon-seo of Sufia Girls’ High School, who was the MVP of the secondary school division at the Federation Hall Games in Gimcheon in May, was also named to the national team. “I didn’t think I would be selected for the national team because I have many older sisters who are good, but I was more surprised and happy to be selected,” she said, “I want to show my strengths in fastball and passing.”
After the combine, the team will travel to Daejeon to train at the Daejeon Women’s Gymnasium.
