Toronto Blue Jays Ryu Hyun-jin (36)’s return to the major leagues has entered the countdown.

On the 19th (Korean time), MLB.com, the official major league media, said, “Ryu Hyun-jin, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery, will pitch on the 22nd. Ryu Hyun-jin plans to pitch in a game for the minor league Triple-A Buffalo Bisons in New York.”

Ryu Hyun-jin, who recorded 75 wins and 45 losses with a 3.27 ERA in 175 major league games (1003⅓ innings), struggled last season with 2 wins and an ERA of 5.67 in 6 games (27 innings) and eventually underwent Tommy John surgery. He has yet to pitch a single game in the big leagues this season.

Ryu Hyun-jin, who is undergoing rehabilitation in the minor leagues, is picking up the pace with a good record of 1 win and 1.50 ERA in 3 games (12 innings). MLB.com said, “Toronto will hope that Ryu Hyun-jin will show something with 80 pitches in 5 innings. If Ryu Hyun-jin shows a good recovery and finishes this mound well, there won’t be much left to prove.”

Toronto struggled with a loss with 4 hits (1 home run), 5 walks and 4 runs in 3 innings, although Alec Manoa made his first appearance in the second half that day. The season performance is sluggish with an average ERA of 6.18 with 2 wins and 8 losses in 15 games (67 innings). 안전놀이터
